The short version
- The free tools (Data Canvas, SQL Studio and Clean & Compare) run entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded or stored, and those pages contain no analytics at all.
- On the rest of the site, a cookie-free counter measures visits. Nothing identifies you personally.
- More detailed analytics show how pages are used, so the site can be improved. Nothing is sold or used for ads, and you can opt out below at any time.
Always on: cookie-free visit counting
This site uses GoatCounter to count page views, where visitors come from (for example a search engine or LinkedIn), the browser, screen size and country, and clicks on links such as LinkedIn or email. It sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses or anything that identifies you.
Detailed analytics
To understand how the site is used, it also uses:
- PostHog (data stored in the EU, in Frankfurt) shows how the site is used: pages viewed, returning visitors, clicks, scrolling, approximate location and device, plus heatmaps and session replays to find what is confusing or broken. Text typed into forms is masked.
These services may use cookies or browser storage and receive your IP address, which is used for approximate location and to filter out bots. Data is never sold, shared with advertisers or used for ads.
Prefer not to be measured? Opt out on this device and browser. It takes effect straight away on every page.
Server logs
Like every website, the hosting provider (OVHcloud) automatically records technical logs of requests, including IP addresses, the page requested and the browser. They are used for security, to stop attacks and abuse, and for overall traffic statistics. They are not used to identify or profile visitors, and are not shared.
