Hi, I'm Alessandro.

          
I'm an analytics engineer and data consultant with over seven years' experience across big tech, media, consulting and financial services. Originally from Italy, I'm now based in London. I help organisations turn scattered data into reliable, automated reporting, and I'm happiest when a process that used to take hours runs quietly on its own.

          
I hold an MSc in Cyber Security with Distinction and a BSc in Data Science, so I build with care: secure, tested and documented. I work in English, Italian, Spanish and French, and I share what I learn in free guides and cheat sheets.

What does an analytics engineer do?
An analytics engineer turns raw data from different systems into clean, tested and documented data models that dashboards, reports and data science can rely on, and automates the process so it refreshes on its own.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. I work remotely with organisations across the UK, Italy, France and the rest of Europe, and can meet in person in London.
Are you open to analytics engineer roles?
Yes. Alongside consultancy projects, I am open to contract and permanent analytics engineering opportunities, remote or hybrid in London.
How much does a project cost?
Most projects are quoted at a fixed price after a free initial conversation, so you know the cost before any work begins. Smaller automations can often be delivered within a few days.
Which tools do you work with?
Python, SQL, Snowflake, Power BI and DAX, Tableau, MS SQL Server, Matillion, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, plus Excel, Google Apps Script and Git. I also build apps and tools with Swift and SwiftUI.
Is my data safe?
Yes. I only access what a project needs, keep data in your own accounts wherever possible, and I am happy to sign a confidentiality agreement.
